Our story begins in the lush forests of Poland, where a young girl discovered the wonders of nature's bounty. Accompanying her family on annual autumn foraging expeditions, she learned to appreciate the gifts of the earth, from the rich flavours of wild mushrooms to the vibrant hues of freshly-picked berries. Inspired by her grandmother's wisdom, she witnessed the creation of powerful tinctures and remedies, harnessing the healing properties of plants like amber stones and nettles.
As she grew, her passion for the environment led her to Hamburg, where she studied environmental pollution, dreaming of protecting the crystal-clear waters of Mallorca. But fate had other plans, and a serendipitous stopover in England turned into a love affair with the countryside and its people. For more than a decade, she shared her knowledge as a maths teacher in Steiner/Waldorf schools, nurturing young minds and embracing the holistic approach to education that these institutions are renowned for.
However, the call of nature never faded. Seeking a deeper connection with herself and the world around her, she began practising yoga, finding solace and balance in the ancient discipline. It was during this time of self-discovery that she rediscovered the magic of elderberries while foraging in the English countryside. With each berry she picked, memories of her childhood flooded back, and she knew it was time to embark on a new journey.
