The Best Nourishing Breakfast Ever: Ashwagandha, Flax and Chia Seed with Spiced Elderberry Syrup




This easy-to-make overnight pudding is a powerhouse of nourishment, featuring a blend of adaptogens, omega-3s, fiber, and antioxidants. It's the perfect quick breakfast or mid-morning snack, especially for women of all ages.


Ingredients:

- 2 tablespoons golden flax seeds (linseeds)

- 2 teaspoons chia seeds

- 3 tablespoons porridge oats

- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric

- 1/2-1 teaspoon ashwagandha powder

- 200ml organic soy or nut milk



For the Spiced Elderberry Syrup:

- Elderberries

- Warming spices (e.g. cinnamon, ginger, cloves, rose-hips…..

- Raw local wildflower honey


Instructions:

1. Grind the flax seeds using a blender or pestle and mortar.

2. In a bowl, combine the ground flax seeds, chia seeds, oats, turmeric, ashwagandha

3. Pour over the milk of your choice.

4. Leave the mixture to sit for a minimum of 1 hour, or even better, leave it in the fridge overnight.

5. The mixture will become thick and porridge-like. Add more milk.

6. To serve, top with Spiced Elderberry Syrup . Enjoy alongside a drizzle of spiced elderberry syrup made with raw local wildflower honey.
