We had the loveliest surprise this week. Caroline Cary at Eat Nourish Love wrote a beautiful piece on elderberry, its long history as a folk remedy, the science behind why it's having such a moment again, and how so many of us are finding our way back to plants our grandmothers already trusted.

She was kind enough to include the Bloomfield Botanicals story in it too, growing up foraging in the forests of Poland, and how those early memories eventually became the tonics we make today. It sits alongside another wonderful maker, Sophie Burrows of Nurtured Organics, whose own path to elderberry started somewhere completely different. It's a lovely reminder that so many of us arrive at the same plant from very different directions.

Thank you, Caroline, for such a thoughtful piece, and for always championing small makers.
